Work begins on Viroqua Skate Park
What:
Site preparation began last summer for the new Viroqua Skate Park on South Street next to the Park Bowl. The concrete pad is scheduled to be poured this spring and the equipment will be installed in June. As of March, $46,000 of the $65,000 goal had been raised through donations and fundraisers. There will be no admission charge to the new park and it will be open to skateboarding, rollerblading and BMX style bikes.
Highway 56 Reconstruction Update
What:
Work began this spring on the Highway 56 Reconstruction Project for the east side of the City of Viroqua. The reconstruction for the west side of the city took place in 2006 and 2007.

Library Director at McIntosh Memorial Libary
What:
McIntosh Memorial Library, Viroqua, WI, seeks a dynamic, professional leader for the full-time position of Library Director.
The Director reports to and implements the policies and vision of a nine-member Board of Trustees. McIntosh Memorial Library is a member of the Winding Rivers Library System and the WRLSWEB automation network.
The Director will be expected to enhance the current high level of public service and develop a long-range plan to ensure the library's future as an information and cultural center for the greater Viroqua area.
